IHRE AUFGABEN
Die erfolgreiche Person soll die Allgemeine Psychologie I (Kognition) in Lehre und Forschung vertreten. Zu den Aufgaben der Professur gehört die Ausbildung von Bachelor- und Master-Studierenden der Psychologie und der Erziehungswissenschaften in den Teilbereichen der Allgemeinen Psychologie I: Wahrnehmung, Aufmerksamkeit, Bewusstsein, Lernen, Gedächtnis, Sprache, Denken, Urteilen und Entscheiden, Problemlösen und Handeln. Das Department verantwortet gemeinsam Teile der Bildungswissenschaftlichen Studien im Lehramtsbereich. Die Professur soll sich aktiv in die inhaltliche Gestaltung und Schwerpunktbildung des Departments einbringen.
IHR PROFIL
Gesucht wird eine in der Allgemeinen Psychologie I (Kognition) hervorragend ausgewiesene Persönlichkeit. Das Department Psychologie plant, den Schwerpunkt „Kognitive Grundlagen adaptiven Verhaltens“ zu stärken. Das Forschungsprofil der erfolgreichen Person soll an diesen Schwerpunkt anschlussfähig sein und durch kollaborative Forschungsprojekte an seiner Stärkung integral mitwirken.
Idealerweise ist das Profil anschlussfähig an einen weiteren Forschungsschwerpunkt des Departments Psychologie (Soziale Kognition und Soziales Verhalten; Klinische Psychologie und experimentelle Psychopathologie).
Erwünscht, aber nicht zwingend erforderlich, ist zudem eine Anschlussfähigkeit an die Forschungsschwerpunkte der Fakultät (insbesondere „Kognitive Neurowissenschaften“) und überfakultäre Schwerpunkte der Universität wie das Zentrum für Soziales und Ökonomisches Verhalten C-SEB, das Exzellenzcluster ECONtribute und die Kernprofilbereiche „Behavioral Economic Engineering and Social Cognition” sowie „Skills and Structures in Language and Cognition“.
International einflussreiche Publikationen sowie die erfolgreiche Einwerbung von Drittmitteln sind vorzuweisen. Substantielle Beiträge zur Theorieentwicklung, kognitiven Modellierung und / oder Entwicklung innovativer Methoden der Allgemeinen Psychologie werden erwartet. Darüber hinaus wird vorausgesetzt, dass die Bewerber*innen OpenScience-Praktiken (Präregistrierung, Open Data, Open Materials) konsequent in Forschung und Lehre umsetzen.
Die Beteiligung an gemeinsamen Forschungsaktivitäten des Departments und der Fakultät wird ebenso erwartet wie die erfolgreiche Einwerbung und Durchführung von Drittmittelprojekten. Aktive Beiträge zur Etablierung von Verbundprojekten sind ausdrücklich erwünscht.

YOUR TASKS
The successful person will represent Cognitive Psychology in teaching and research. The responsibilities of the professorship include the training of Bachelor and Master students of Psychology and Education in the subfields of perception, attention, consciousness, learning, memory, language, reasoning, judgment and decision making, problem solving, and action. The department is jointly responsible for parts of the educational science studies in the teaching profession. The professorship is expected to play an active role in shaping the content and research focus of the department.
YOUR PROFILE
An individual with outstanding credentials in Cognitive Psychology is sought. The Department of Psychology plans to strengthen its focus on „Cognitive Foundations of Adaptive Behavior“. The research profile of the successful individual should be connectable to this focus and integral to its strengthening through collaborative research projects.
Ideally, the profile is connectable to another research focus of the Department of Psychology (Social Cognition and Social Behavior; Clinical Psychology and Experimental Psychopathology). Desirable, but not mandatory, is also a connectivity to the research foci of the faculty (especially „Cognitive Neuroscience“) and cross-faculty foci of the university such as the Center for Social and Economic Behavior C-SEB, the Cluster of Excellence ECONtribute and the core profile areas “Behavioral Economic Engineering and Social Cognition” and “Skills and Structures in Language and Cognition”.
In addition to internationally influential publications as well as the successful acquisition of external funding, substantial contributions to theory development, cognitive modeling, and/or development of innovative methods in cognitive psychology are expected. In addition, the applicant is expected to consistently implement Open Science practices (Pre-registration, Open Data, Open Materials) in research and teaching.
Participation in joint departmental and faculty research activities is expected, as is successful solicitation and implementation of externally funded projects. Active contributions to the establishment of collaborative projects are strongly encouraged.
